Liverpool’s Royal Court is currently invested in revisiting our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion policy and setting out measurable and demonstrable change.
We believe that we need to move from the current position of inequality, not just to equality but to equity using custom strategies to identify and address inequalities. From there we can address the systemic problems in the sector, so allowing equal access to opportunities for all.
This review will be applied from the top of the organisation down, making ourselves accountable to our service users, stakeholders, the city and the whole of the arts & cultural sector.
We are continuing on our journey of inclusion and stronger representation across all departments. We plan to make positive changes as we aim to become both reflective of the community we serve and representative of Britain as a whole.

Liverpool’s Royal Court has signed up to a city-wide Arts & Culture Race Equality Manifesto as we work with arts organisations all around the city region to improve our practices. Find out more here.
