Café 38 is a great cafe here at the Court which celebrates the year that the theatre was built – 1938.
With teas, coffees and homemade cakes on offer from 10am to 9:30pm* there is always a great reason to call in and take the weight off your feet. We are right next to Queen’s Square and just round the corner from Lime Street so whether you are just in town or waiting to head home take half an hour to yourself and watch the world go by.
We also have a great range of sandwiches and panini to choose from and freshly made soup every day so whether it is a caffeine boost, a quick lunch or a leisurely chat with friends Café 38 has a table waiting for you.
*On Mondays and when there are no evening performances we close at 6pm
The Courtyard Bar and Kitchen in the heart of the city centre is a great place to eat and drink with friends, right next door to the Royal Court. Newly renovated to the highest standards, the floor-to-ceiling windows in the restaurant give outstanding views of St George’s Hall and Lime Street Plateau while downstairs in the bar you can choose to drink inside or out on the newly created drinks terrace.
The ground floor bar is a relaxed space for people who like great beer and wine. Freshly made bar snacks will be coming out of the kitchen and, with a mix of local cask ales and the best international drinks brands, there will be plenty to choose from.
They offer pre-theatre dining where they guarantee that you will be in your seat before the show starts. The building is looking great, the food and drink is top notch and the staff really know their onions. Come and join us.
