This workshop focuses on how to select, prepare and present a monologue off-book in an audition context. Please bring with you a monologue, off book, to be worked on 1-2-1.

Looking at how we prepare, annotate and deliver auditions using pages sent by theatres in advance. You will be sent sides in advance, then re-directed 1-2-1 in the session.

Script preparation is an essential part of an actors work, but it is also disposable. In the workshop, we will use scene work to explore how actors can stay open to redirection during rehearsal, and the benefits of disregarding logical choices in favour of broad, changeable play.

Harvey is an actor, composer and tutor with experience in theatre, TV and radio. He has worked with the BBC and Channel 4, and performed on the West End, Broadway and a number of national tours.
