The Alternative Black Cabaret Showcase features top black international comedy acts from across the country, live music, prize games, cabaret and commitment to DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) with a token straight white male comic, at every show.
With previous headliners such as Paul Sinha (ITV's The Chase), Desiree Burch (Live at the Apollo), and Michelle De Swarte (Netflix’s The Duchess). It's like a 1970s cabaret show but with more colour and less racism! (***** ToDoList.london).
Hosted by resident MC Che and ably assisted by The Anfield Wrap’s The Mighty Mojo, it’s a night of daftness, blackness and fun!
Headliner: Annette Fagon – The Midlands Motormouth
Annette grew up as that rare thing in the midlands of the 1980s, the daughter of a Jamaican newsagent mother, which has clearly left its mark.
After a variety of odd jobs - disability support worker, theatre house manager, comedy club waitress - Annette took up an odder job, in stand up comedy.
Currently talking - loudly - about everything from hoodies and mobile phone habits to Beyonce's mental state, she has made rapid progress, appearing at theatres such as Nottingham Playhouse and comedy clubs such as Jongleurs - on the Upfront Café Tour.
Annette's early efforts created a buzz that led to a nomination as Best Newcomer at the 2006 BECA Awards and Midlands Stand Up Runner up 2007 There's more to come.

Middle Act: Clayton Jones
Clayton has been performing comedy for over a decade and has established himself as a regular on the UK comedy circuit including shows at the Edinburgh Festival and Leicester Comedy Festival alongside appearances at all the top comedy clubs
In 2014 he was a finalist in the Southport Comedian of the Year, Frog & Bucket World Series and Liverpool Comedian of the Year. In 2017 he was the winner of the Last Minute Comedy Comedian Of The Year and a finalist in the English Comedian Of The Year.

Opening Act: Mushin Yesilada
Muhsin is a Stand-up Comedian and Psychology PhD. He is making a name for himself on the comedy circuit and regularly performs in theatres and clubs such as Vauxhall Comedy Club, Glee Club, Top Secret Comedy Club, and Backyard. He is also a Chortle Student Comedy Award Finalist, New Act of the Year nominee, and UK PhD Student of the Year Nominee. His comedy sketches and podcast have accumulated over 50 million views across Instagram and TikTok.
