Bouncers. You either love them or hate ?em.??They can make or break your night.

Can you imagine the stories they could tell and the sights they have seen.??Enough to put on two and a half hour show we bet.

Well that?s exactly what?John Godber?thought when he first penned Bouncers back in the eighties.

Fast-forward to the present and we?ve teamed up with?Boisterous Theatre Company?to bring you a modern day version of the award-winning play.

The characters may have stayed the same but the stories and staging have changed.

Ralph, Judd, Les and Lucky Eric will tell you all.

Bouncers Cast

L-R: Joe Speare, Mutty Burman, Michael Horsley and Zain Salim

First on the door, we have Joe Speare.??Where do we even start with?Joe, or Lucky Eric as you will come to know him in the show.??He?s the Bouncer who?s seen it all, heard it all and tonight, will tell you all.??Before his stint on the door he has starred in a variety of shows.??He is one of our original Bouncers having played the same character earlier this year when it made its debut in our new Studio space.??Before that you could catch him in Guys & Dolls at the Royal Exchange Manchester.

Next up we?ve got?Judd played by?Mutty Berman.??Mutty is no stranger to the stage having started out training with Positive Impact, a project aimed at providing young people with performing arts training.??He had a few roles in Brand New World and Strictly Motown before becoming a member of vocal group ?Fade2?.??Fun fact: Fade2 toured the UK and headlined BBC?s Children in Need Festival.??Nice.

Michael Horsley who plays hard as nails doorman Les.??Michael?s acting career has seen him star on stage as well as on television.??He also is one of the founding directors of Capoeira For All CIC, a community organisation set up to explore and develop how capoeira can enrich people?s lives.??If you have been to any outdoor events in Liverpool like Liverpool Light Night, Africa Oy? or Brazilica then chances are you have seen of his work as a choreographer, producer and director.??He?s a man of many talents.

Last but certainly not least, we have?Zain Salim?who plays Ralph in the show.? Zain gets our Bouncers moving as Boisterous Theatre Company?s resident Movement Director.? He also gets our Youth Theatre on their feet as teacher and director.? Zain is also one of our original Bouncers.

The show also features DJ Spykatcha (Shawn John) who will get you up dancing with his tunes quicker than you can say ?ID please?.? He was on the decks at Liverpool?s Radio City for 8 years and has DJ?d in venues across the world.

The show was adapted from John Godber?s Bouncers by Maurice Bessman and is directed by Miriam Mussa.? It ran until 15 September 2018.? Read the reviews from the show the first time round?here.
