COVID-19 Update 02 November

Interesting times are here again.

In response to the latest government policy we will be cancelling all performances until 11 December. If you have a ticket for one of those performances then you can either have a full refund or exchange your tickets for a later date. We have extended the run of the Christmas show by three weeks so there will be plenty of room to move in to (and turkey dinners until the end of January!).

Box Office will be in touch with bookers to arrange refunds and transfers but if you haven’t heard from us within a week or so, just email [email protected] and someone will come back to you.

We know that things can change quickly and if lockdown is extended then we will be in touch with anybody else affected.

Liverpool’s Royal Court – A Covid Safe Building

To ensure everybody’s safety we have had to reduce the capcaity significantly to help with social distancing.

At the moment, while we are in tier 3, we are not permitted to sell alcohol to customers who are not dining so there are only soft drinks available in circle and balcony. This will change as soon as the region comes out of tier 3 and into tier 2. We are looking at a food offer for circle and balcony if we remain in tier 3 and will have more details before the start of the Christmas Show.

We have got a wide range of safety plans in place, including socially distanced cast and audience, temperature checks, new cleaning procedures, enhanced table service and one way systems. There will be paperless tickets on your phone, loads of hand sanitizer and antibacterial door handles & menus.

We also guarantee to refund or exchange tickets for anybody who needs to cancel if they are showing symptoms of Covid or if the show is cancelled.

There will be plenty of staff on hand to help you out on the night and lots of helpful signage. The staff will all be wearing masks and we ask that you do the same while moving around the building. Once you are in your socially distanced seats, you can choose to keep your mask on or leave it off while you eat or drink.

Booking Information For Customers Affected By Postponed Shows

If you have tickets booked with us for any affected shows then Box Office should have been in touch to arrange moving you to the new dates or giving you a voucher that is valid here for the next two years.  Contact will have been made via email in most cases. We love working at The Royal Court as much as you guys enjoy coming here and we will be back open once all of this has blown over. We want to open up as soon as we can but the most important thing is the good health of everyone, both staff and audiences, so we will wait as long as we need to until that is secured.
